In Aurora, SERVPRO of Elgin/DeKalb County/Aurora is looking to hire technicians to work in our content cleaning warehouse.

In this position, you will be making a difference each day. We are committed to making every type of property damage “Like it never even happened®!”

This role includes going to customers’ locations to assist with the electronic inventorying of content and packing and boxing that content to bring back to our warehouse. At the warehouse, we clean content with methods best suited to each item. We clean and restore furniture, upholstered items, clothes/shoes, and other content items, as well as full electronics restoration. It may also include returning customer content to the customer’s location after their building has been cleaned and rebuilt.

• Cleaning content that has been soiled due to water and fire damage
• Packing and handling content both within the warehouse and at property locations
• Assisting with electronic inventory of content
• Communicating with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes
• Performing end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and ensuring a clean and orderly work area

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to learn new cleaning procedures and follow standard operating procedures
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
