Custodian (Aurora CO) – Part‑Time
This position is part of the Phoenix - Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc. and requires a part‑time schedule of 3 days per week.
Work SchedulePart‑time, 3 days per week.
Educational QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Qualifications- At least six months of experience in a similar custodial position desired.

- Authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating an agency vehicle, a good driving record, a valid driver’s license, and/or the required level of personal auto insurance.
- Must satisfy a background check per company requirements.
- Listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to read and write in English highly desired.
- Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality.
- Adequate volume of speech for spoken conversation.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers.
- Ability to possess and maintain a security clearance applicable to the assigned work area.

Job Responsibilities SummaryCleans and maintains work sites, restrooms, exterior areas of offices, shops, and other occupied areas in orderly condition in accordance with contract requirements and company policy.
Essential Functions- Cleans and maintains work sites, restrooms, exterior areas of offices, shops, and other occupied areas in accordance with contract requirements.
- Performs work in accordance with safe and up‑to‑date cleaning procedures and methods.
- Complies with all safety requirements related to the job assignment.
- Wears and uses applicable personal protective equipment as required.
- Performs other duties as required to fulfill janitorial contract obligations or changes based on customer needs.
- All custodial tasks are performed in accordance with the tasks listed in the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- All other duties are performed as outlined in Phoenix Personnel Policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Adequate ability for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
- Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations.
- Ability to move safely about the work area.
- Ability to retrieve items from high and low areas.
- Ability to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or textures.
- Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to change routine positively.
- Must be able to follow through on assignments independently.
- Must possess effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must have stable work behaviors daily.
- Must have adequate individual coping skills.
- Must be able to maintain good work attendance.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment to maintain a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
$17.75 per hour with $5.09 Health and Welfare.
