The role's core responsibility revolves around empowering development teams with a robust platform that streamlines processes, enhances collaboration, and accelerates release cycles, thereby driving efficiency and innovation. You will be on an agile team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset.

This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control. Note This position will be onsite at the RTX Facility in Aurora CO. What You Will Do
* Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in support of transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructure

* Optimize implementation for performance and scalability across on-premises VMware computing environments

* Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management

* Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and Dev Ops teams to design and implement development and mission solutions

* Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management

* Provide operational support for the platform Qualifications You Must Have
* Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 5 years of related work experience

* Experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker

* Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a Dev Sec Ops  framework

* Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)

* Active and current TS/SCI / CI Poly security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer
* Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)

* Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab)

* Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible

* Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore)

* Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience and expertise (Server, Storage, Network Hardware)

* Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration

* Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using infrastructure as code (IaC)

* Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain
