AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing infrastructure operations team. In this role you will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, assist in automating and scaling network operations, and support data‑center locations.
Key Responsibilities- Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
- Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
- Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment
- Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
A Day in the Life- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ year of experience in roles such as Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management
- Data center experience and industry‑standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- Experience with tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls
- Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed
- Work in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments
- Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
The base salary range for this position is $30.00 – $54.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
