Cloud Platform Engineer

Project description

The project is for one of the world's famous science and technology companies in pharmaceutical industry, supporting initiatives in AWS, AI and data engineering, with plans to launch over 20 additional initiatives in the future. We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and services using AWS and Dev Ops tools. The role involves working with a wide range of AWS services, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines to support backend and frontend applications.

• Manage API Gateway for REST APIs and Web Socket connections.
• Configure and maintain Application Load Balancer (ALB) for internal routing to ECS services.
• Deploy and monitor containerized backend services on ECS clusters using Fargate.
• Implement serverless logic using AWS Lambda for Web Socket events, callbacks, and notifications.
• Orchestrate business workflows using Step Functions.
• Store and serve documents using S3 and host the React UI.
• Deliver and cache UI content efficiently with Cloud Front.
• Manage relational data using Aurora (Postgre
  
  SQL) and document data with Document
  
  DB.
• Use SNS for workflow event distribution (pub/sub) and SQS for message queuing.
• Send email notifications via SES.
• Control access and permissions using IAM and securely store secrets with Secrets Manager.
• Monitor logs, metrics, and alarms using Cloud Watch.
• Automate infrastructure using Cloud Formation and shell scripts.
• Manage version control with Azure Repos and automate builds and deployments using Azure Pipelines.

• Strong experience with AWS services including API Gateway, ALB, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Cloud Front, Aurora, Document
  
  DB, SNS, SQS, SES, IAM, Secrets Manager, and Cloud Watch.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, shell scripts).
• Experience with Dev Ops tools such as Azure Repos and Azure Pipelines.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud environments.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience working in agile teams and cross-functional environments.
