Sr. Network Engineer - Cleared

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have an engineering mindset, have the ability and willingness to troubleshoot complex network problems, seeking to understand virtualized design elements in a dynamic environment
• U.S. citizenship and current DOD-TS or TS/SCI Security Clearance is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and minimum of 5 years of related work experience
• Experience with Data Center LAN and WAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance, and management
• Ability to understand system data flows internal and external to the overall system boundary
• Experience with Linux system administration / VMware
• Experience with configuring cloud networking in AWS, security groups
• Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e
  Power Shell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)

• The environments are a mix of physical and virtualized servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, providing the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset
• This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard Network Engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control
• Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with Network design, development, implementation, and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System for the project
• Support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effort
• Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system
• Assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments
• Assist engineers with RHEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices
