Overview

Memorial Community Health, Inc. is in search for an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR initiatives at Memorial Hospital. This pivotal role involves shaping our organizational culture, managing talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance with employment laws to support our mission of quality healthcare.

This position is for full time days, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Directs day-to-day operations of Human Resources to provide consistent, high quality services.
  • Maintains and provides regulatory support and understanding in the area of all laws which impact HR practices.
  • Directs the employee benefit process.
  • Maintains and processes the payroll and timekeeping process for the facility to ensure proper and accurate payment to employees.
  • Coordinates Workers’ Compensation process.
  • Administers, plans, guides and maintains the compensation program for the hospital.
  • Participates in the strategic planning for the organization in relation to building and maintaining HR programs that support the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversees, develops, and monitors programs related to the retention of staff.
  • Performs in a liaison role for various vendor partnerships.
  • Manages departmental financial operations.
  • Participates in MCHI committees, quality assurance, performance and quality improvement initiatives, and activities which support the facility and department operations.
  • Presents self in a professional manner and enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
  • Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
  • Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years general experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in Healthcare preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of modern methods and techniques in Human Resource administration
