Aurora.

Department:
Echocardiography.

Work Schedule:

Full Time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks).

Shift: Days.

Pay: $43.70 - $61.17 per hour, dependent on experience.

Onsite role; no hybrid or remote option.

Summary

Performs diagnostic echocardiography procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by a physician. Coordinates the clinical education, training, and registry readiness of echocardiography students, Cardiac Sonographer Associate-level staff, and new graduate sonographers to ensure consistent performance and development within the department.

Responsibilities
  • Performs complete echo cardiographic examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate documentation for physician interpretation.
  • Coordinates and oversees clinical training of Echocardiography students and new graduate sonographers; evaluates clinical competencies and progress.
  • Maintains documentation for training, competency assessments, and registry readiness for uncredentialed or newly credentialed sonographers.
  • Assists with educational activities, provides performance feedback, and ensures adherence to departmental protocols and UCHealth standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program OR Associate's degree in allied health OR a Bachelor's degree in any area.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • 3 years relevant experience.
  • Valid BLS or CPR card through 60 days of hire.
