Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required
- 1 year of sonography experience dedicated to OBGYN
- Masters or equivalent experience. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and training in Maternal Fetal Medicine-level ultrasound scans
- Experience and formal training in Fetal Echocardiogram
- Experience working with ViewPoint ultrasound reporting system
- Nuchal Translucency certification
- CLEAR certification
- Bilingual, Spanish-speaking
- Computer

Perform independent diagnostic ultrasound examinations on high-risk obstetrical patients for evaluation by a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) attending physician. Prepare preliminary reports and verify data obtained from ultrasound. Review and triage referrals with schedulers and MFM providers to determine urgency. Collaborate with Medical Directors, Perinatologists, fellow Sonographers, and administrative staff to ensure high patient and referring physician satisfaction. Cross-train to support other freestanding MFM clinics as needed.
Operate GE Voluson ultrasound systems and utilize ViewPoint for reporting and EPIC for the EMR. Follow AIUM ultrasound guidelines; participate in teaching and ongoing education within CU MFM. Facilitate teaching and learning in a academic setting and contribute to monthly Education Series and biennial fetal imaging conferences.
The role is onsite in Denver, CO. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5 pm with no on-call obligation. Each clinic has two sonographers onsite daily, covering one room with about 8 patients per day.
