Description

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is building a bold new future in behavioral health and substance abuse services with the upcoming launch of our state-of-the-art Potomac Pavilion, opening in early 2026, and we’re hiring the leadership team that will bring this vision to life. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at the ground level as we unify several essential crisis and substance use programs under one roof, including our 24/7 Detox (Withdrawal Management) Unit, 16-bed inpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), Crisis Walk-In Center (WIC), and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders.

The new Clinical Director of Crisis and Recovery Services will lead this transformative model, overseeing both acute and substance use programs, with key leadership roles open for Clinical Managers across Detox, CSU, and WIC. Be part of something extraordinary—where innovation, community impact, and leadership converge to redefine recovery and crisis care.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Manager to co-lead our Crisis Services Program, comprised of a Walk-In Crisis Center (WIC) and Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), a key component of Colorado’s statewide crisis services initiative and contracted through Signal Behavioral Health. The WIC provides immediate assessment, intervention, disposition, and referral services for individuals of all ages experiencing a self-defined mental health crisis and the CSU serves both voluntary and involuntary clients with a qualifying mental health diagnosis and offers a full range of services including medication evaluation and administration, individual, group, and family therapy, case management, and coordinated discharge planning with referrals to outpatient or higher levels of care.

The Clinical Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, clinical staff supervision, and coordination of referrals to both outpatient and higher levels of care, including inpatient and CSU services. This role requires a strong leader with crisis management and supervisory experience, working knowledge of M1 procedures, and a hands-on approach to supporting staff in a fast-paced, team-based environment. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and committed to compassionate, client-centered care.

Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite/in-person position based at our 24/7 Walk-In Crisis Center and will co-lead the Crisis program with responsibilities split between the front half (Sunday-Wednesday) and the back half (Wednesday-Saturday) of the week, utilizing a 4x10 schedule (day shift). Both sides of the week are currently available to choose from.
