Director of Administrative Services - Medical Group Summary

The Director of Administrative Services for the Medical Group oversees daily administrative operations, supports strategic planning, manages financial and resource allocation, and acts as a key liaison across departments. This role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Medical Group and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
    Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards in alignment with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements. Contributes to system-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Operational Oversight:
    Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including technology systems, service delivery, and issue resolution, to meet performance and quality benchmarks.
  • Policy & Compliance:
    Establishes, enforces, and monitors operational policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Financial Stewardship:
    Prepares, monitors, and manages departmental budgets in alignment with UCHealth Medical Group priorities, ensuring resources are used appropriately, funding parameters are met, and internal and external audits are effectively coordinated in partnership with the Medical Group Finance team.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Acts as a liaison between departments, facilitating effective communication and promoting cross-functional teamwork.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
