Overview
Job Title:
Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH)
Location:
Aurora, CO
Reports To:
Director of Facility Operations / General Manager
Job Type: Full-Time / Exempt
Responsibilities- Direct, supervise, and evaluate daily housekeeping and environmental service operations.
- Develop and implement cleaning programs, schedules, and procedures in line with industry best practices and health/safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and manage housekeeping staff, ensuring consistent performance and professional development.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance standards are met or exceeded.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and distribution of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with facility management, maintenance, and administrative teams to optimize operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of staffing, budgets, supplies, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Participate in the development and administration of departmental budgets and cost control measures.
- Lead special cleaning projects or support emergency response cleaning as needed.
- Required:
Certification:
Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) from IEHA (International Executive Housekeepers Association) required. - Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Environmental Services, or a related field preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial operations, preferably in commercial, government, or healthcare environments. - Knowledge &
Skills:
Expert knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and procedures. - Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation experience.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability and green cleaning initiatives is highly desirable.
- May involve lifting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
- Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment noise.
- Typical work hours with flexibility for special events or emergency needs.
