Are you passionate about learning, growing, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness? Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a full‑time Case Manager to join our dynamic Homeless Services team and grow your clinical career while doing the essential “groundwork” that drives real change. In this role, you will provide low‑barrier, comprehensive case management within a drop‑in center setting, offering crisis intervention, needs assessment, and connection to vital resources, including healthcare, housing, financial assistance, and behavioral health services.

You’ll work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team of peer specialists, case managers, therapists, housing navigators, a milieu counselor, and client service representatives—united by a shared commitment to trauma‑informed care, harm reduction, and the Housing First model. The ideal candidate embraces challenges, demonstrates empathy and cultural humility, actively seeks supervision and team support, and brings strong communication, time‑management, and collaboration skills to navigate complex client needs with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Provide low‑barrier, comprehensive case management within a drop‑in center setting, including crisis intervention, needs assessment, and connection to resources such as healthcare, housing, financial assistance, and behavioral health services.
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of peer specialists, case managers, therapists, housing navigators, a milieu counselor, and client service representatives.
  • Operate within a trauma‑informed care framework, harm reduction approach, and Housing First model.
  • Support clients with supervision, time management, and professional communication to navigate complex needs with compassion.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services field.
  • Or Bachelor’s Degree in an unrelated field with at least one year of behavioral health experience.
  • Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License with a driving record that meets organization’s requirements.
  • Demonstrated interest in behavioral health field.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Basic understanding and ability to work with differing behavioral health presentations.
  • Effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred:
    Bilingual.
Required Vaccination and TB Test

AMHR requires all employees to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and negative TB test prior to the first day of hire. Proof of the flu shot and negative TB test will be required on your first day. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested.
