Location: Aurora, CO (Onsite at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus)
Work Hours: Full-time, 12-month fellowship (January 2026 – January 2027)
OverviewThis 12-month Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine is designed for newly graduated Nurse Practitioners (NPs – Acute Care, Adult/Gero) or Physician Assistants (PAs) who are committed to advanced training in high-acuity, academic cardiology practice.
The fellowship combines supervised clinical training with structured didactics, procedural exposure, and dedicated mentoring across a range of cardiology subspecialties.
Responsibilities- Clinical rotations in inpatient, outpatient, procedural cardiology (General Cardiology, Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplant, EP, Cath Lab, ICU, Imaging)
- Educational meetings:
Weekly didactics, case conferences, journal clubs, case presentations - Performance evaluations and structured feedback each month
- Participation in multidisciplinary rounds and subspecialty case conferences
- Optional scholarly or quality improvement project
- Graduation from an accredited NP (Adult‑Gero NP, Acute Care NP) or PA program (degree by January 2026)
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) required by start date
- Current BLS/ACLS required by start date
- Eligible for licensure as an NP or PA in Colorado and prescriptive authority (DEA)
- Less than 1 year of post‑graduate cardiology experience preferred
