Job Overview
The Cardiac Sonographer Senior performs clinical echo cardiographic studies for congenital heart disease on patients ranging from neonate to adult. Assists the laboratory with complex cardiovascular malformations and technically advanced cases. The Cardiac Sonographer Senior has obtained a high level of proficiency, competency and knowledge in the field of pediatric echocardiography; provides instruction and orientation of new employees, physicians, fellows, students and preceptees;
possesses high level cardiac ultrasound theory and techniques; experienced in the field of cardiology, comprehension of anatomy and physiology, with specific experience in pediatric cardiac ultrasound.

Essential FunctionsEducation:
Associates degree and/or graduate of a formal sonography program and/or completion of registry qualifications is required.
Experience:
Three years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience.
Equivalency:
Two (2) years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience may be considered in lieu of an associate degree or formal sonography program, provided the candidate meets registry eligibility requirements.
Certification(s):
- Pediatric Echocardiography Registry required;
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS, PE) through ARDMS or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through CCI. - BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Hourly Range: $42.27 to $63.41. Eligible
