American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S., operating eight-hour walk‑in clinics seven days a week. Our state‑of‑the‑art centers provide acute illness and injury care, workers’ compensation, and occupational medicine. Each location features an onsite lab and in‑house X‑ray capability.

Provide general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting.

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved procedures
• Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing or in‑house processing
• Perform laboratory tests, lab‑quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
• Respond to all lab messages and callback requests
• Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
• Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
• Conduct physician referrals and service pre‑certifications as needed
• Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• AMT registration and AAMA Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Valid EMT certification preferred

$18.00 – $25.00 per hour
