What You’ll Do

As a Senior Commissioning Technician, you’ll provide high‑level technical support and lead commissioning efforts across multiple projects.

Technical Leadership
  • Conduct commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists.
  • Perform site inspections, system verification, and functional performance testing.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve system performance issues.
  • Prepare and review detailed commissioning reports and documentation.
Project & Client Support
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and operators.
  • Monitor project progress, scope, and schedule alignment.
  • Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee discussions as needed.
  • Contribute to workload planning and resource coordination.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for both clients and internal teams.
What You’ll Bring Required
  • Experience with Building Systems Commissioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting background in both new construction and existing buildings.
  • Experience across multiple facility types (healthcare, labs, higher ed, offices, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of building automation platforms (JCI, Siemens, Delta, Niagara, etc.).
  • Experience using building analytics platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 25% average monthly; up to 75% during peak periods).
  • Relevant certification (USGBC, AABC, NEBB, TABB, PMI, AEE, BCxA).
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (experience may substitute).
  • Experience in testing and balancing, controls, MEP design, energy auditing/modeling, or construction.
