As a Senior Commissioning Technician, you’ll provide high‑level technical support and lead commissioning efforts across multiple projects.
Technical Leadership- Conduct commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists.
- Perform site inspections, system verification, and functional performance testing.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve system performance issues.
- Prepare and review detailed commissioning reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and operators.
- Monitor project progress, scope, and schedule alignment.
- Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee discussions as needed.
- Contribute to workload planning and resource coordination.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for both clients and internal teams.
- Experience with Building Systems Commissioning.
- Strong troubleshooting background in both new construction and existing buildings.
- Experience across multiple facility types (healthcare, labs, higher ed, offices, manufacturing, etc.).
- Working knowledge of building automation platforms (JCI, Siemens, Delta, Niagara, etc.).
- Experience using building analytics platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Ability to travel (approximately 25% average monthly; up to 75% during peak periods).
- Relevant certification (USGBC, AABC, NEBB, TABB, PMI, AEE, BCxA).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (experience may substitute).
- Experience in testing and balancing, controls, MEP design, energy auditing/modeling, or construction.
