Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Engineer with experience in construction, project engineering, or a related field. This role involves interfacing with clients and requires strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and general computer knowledge. Excellent social and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, and engineers.
Responsibilities- Interface directly with clients to understand and meet project needs.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other construction software to manage project tasks.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet customer needs.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of project requirements and timelines.
- Assist in transitioning to a full integration contractor role that designs and builds baggage handling systems.
- Contribute to projects involving large steel structures and conveyance systems.
- Collaborate with specialized teams to ensure efficient project completion.
- Step into a project management role, learning unique processes and advocating for project success.
- 0-3 years of experience in engineering or construction management.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and construction project management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts clearly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to unique project processes.
- Ability to work independently and think critically.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project coordination with 3+ years is a plus.
- Engineering degree in any discipline or construction management degree preferred.
- Open to candidates with diverse educational backgrounds, excluding IT.
The role involves working in a brand-new facility with top-notch equipment, offering incredible views. The environment is laid back and informal, with a team atmosphere where jeans and tennis shoes are common attire. Travel is required, with trips averaging slightly more than once a month, typically lasting 1-2 nights, primarily out of state or within Colorado. The company values a strong culture fit and a willingness to learn, offering training to bridge any skill gaps.
The position involves projects with direct owner engagement, requiring a level of technical competence and the ability to work in diverse sectors such as Airport, Automotive, Food & Beverage, Parcel, Postal, and Power & Heavy Industrial.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $43.00/hr.
