Sr Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities that ensure efficient manufacturing processes, optimal equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a bridge between engineering and production teams, overseeing day-to-day technical support while driving strategic projects to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and interns.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress toward department goals.
• Facilitate training and skill development programs.

Process Optimization

• Lead the design, implementation, and validation of new manufacturing processes.
• Review and improve existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

Project Management

• Plan, manage, and monitor manufacturing engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance) to meet project deadlines.
• Track and report key project metrics (budget, timeline, outcomes).

Quality & Compliance

• Partner with Quality Assurance and R&D to ensure processes meet product specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction

• Identify cost-saving opportunities through automation, process redesign, and waste reduction.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering related field.

Experience

• 6+ years in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven experience in process improvement and project management.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
• Proficient in finance acumen for manufacturing:
  PnL, CAPEX, OVH, COGS, etc.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Medical’s Industry documentation requirements.
• Strategic planning for annual operating year: cost reduction, initiative prioritization and investment plans.
