Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Engineer to join our fast-moving team. This role is focused on coordinating and executing a variety of operational and installation projects that support our rapid growth in the automation industry.

You’ll lead efforts to manage the rollout of specialized equipment across the country, oversee hundreds of active bids, and ensure smooth coordination between internal teams, field technicians, distributors, and customers. Projects include:

  • Coordinating national equipment installations for automotive service centers and industrial facilities.
  • Managing distributor-led service and support across multiple time zones.
  • Supporting expansion efforts tied to a newly upgraded manufacturing facility.
  • Driving process improvements to enhance service delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary client interface, fostering strong relationships.
  • Utilize Excel and other general computer applications effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams from different backgrounds, including GC, subcontractor, or engineering.
  • Manage and organize tasks efficiently, prioritizing based on customer needs.
  • Communicate clearly and articulate thoughts effectively.
  • Demonstrate teachability and willingness to learn unique processes.
  • Step into a Project Manager role, showcasing leadership and initiative.
Work Environment

The work environment is laid-back, fostering a team atmosphere that encourages social interaction. The facility is brand new with top-notch equipment, offering incredible views from the office. The culture is less formal, allowing for casual attire such as jeans and tennis shoes. The role involves travel to job sites, potentially out of state, averaging slightly more than once a month with trip durations of 1-2 nights.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of project engineering or management
  • Must have engineering industry background or degree
  • Prior experience in automation or equipment development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience managing projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders
  • Comfortable using Excel, Word, Teams, Slack, and cloud-based tools
  • Ability to understand technical workflows and estimate task durations
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $68.00/hr.
