Position: K-12 Title One Interventionist (2025-26 School Year)

Cotopaxi Consolidated Schools, located in School District Fremont RE‑3, is seeking a K‑12 Title 1 Interventionist to provide direct instructional services to students. This role primarily supports Math and Reading for elementary students while providing support and instructional coaching to secondary staff. It is a supervisory position with two paraprofessional assistants and a full‑time 1.0 FTE, beginning at the start of the 2024‑2025 school year.

Position is open until filled.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct instruction in the classroom and community to students.
  • Provide resources and coaching to staff as needed.
  • Work as part of a teacher team in the development and direction of the program, including supervision of paraprofessionals and coordination with related service staff, employers, and classroom teachers.
  • Work with parents and agency personnel in coordinating needs for each student.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have a valid Colorado Certification/license.
  • Experience and/or knowledge working with students.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in the implementation of inclusion experiences for students within the school setting and the community.
  • Ability to coordinate and implement direct services utilizing functional curriculum, transitional planning, and the use of augmentative communication systems and systematic instruction techniques.
  • Ability to work as part of a teacher team in the development and direction of the program including supervision of paraprofessionals and coordination with related services staff and teachers within the school.
  • Ability to work with parents and agency personnel in coordinating needs for each student.
  • Creative and positive communication skills with the ability to problem solve effectively.
Experience and/or Knowledge
  • Working with students of all ages and needs.
  • Supervising instructional paraprofessionals to teach small groups using research‑based programs with fidelity.
  • Collaborating with service staff to provide professional development to paraprofessionals and to dialogue about student learning and meeting goals.
  • Collaborating with Certified classroom teachers to provide strategies of instruction, modifications, and/or accommodations for students on an IEP.
  • Co‑teaching or team teaching through the inclusion model.
  • Intervention support in small groups outside of the classroom.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle, and/or feel.
  • Requires use of telephone and using fingers to operate computer or typewriter keyboards.
  • Requires continuous hearing and speaking to exchange information.
  • Requires reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Requires ability to be on feet up to eight hours each day; mostly walking and standing with periods of sitting.
  • Requires lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs; climbing stairs, bending, crouching; reaching, holding, grasping, and turning objects; using fingers to operate computer or typewriter keyboards; and feeling the shape, size, and temperature of objects.
  • Requires ability to speak normally, use normal or aided vision and hearing, identify odors, colors, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, perceive depth, operate a motor vehicle, and operate motor equipment.
  • Requires working inside and outside, around machines with moving parts and moving objects, closely with others, alone, and traveling by car, van, bus.
