Key Responsibilities Research
  • Conduct cutting-edge research within the chosen area of expertise to advance pharmaceutical sciences and address critical grand challenges that improve health and save lives.
  • Bridge interdisciplinary collaborations within departments, the School, and across the University of Colorado Anschutz campus to foster interdisciplinary research.
  • Excellence in publication record and externally funded research which can span both clinical and research domains and in areas of high clinical significance and impact.
Teaching
  • Contribute to graduate and postgraduate education by developing and delivering high-quality, contemporary coursework.
Mentorship
  • Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research staff, supporting their academic and professional growth.
Service
  • Participate in departmental, university, and professional service, including committees and scholarly organizations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Assistant Professor
  • Candidates must possess a Pharm

    D, PhD, or MD or equivalent degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one of the target areas as evidenced by a strong publication record or potential for securing extramural research funding.
Associate Professor
  • Candidates must possess a Pharm

    D, PhD, or MD or equivalent degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one of the target areas as evidenced by a strong publication record or potential for securing extramural research funding.
  • Meets the School of Pharmacy criteria for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor.
Professor
  • Candidates must possess a Pharm

    D, PhD, or MD or equivalent degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one of the target areas as evidenced by a strong publication record or potential for securing extramural research funding.
  • Meets the School of Pharmacy criteria for appointment at the rank of Professor.
Preferred Qualifications (All Ranks)
  • Experience in one or more of the School's focus areas of excellence.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring, preferably involving graduate or postgraduate students.
  • A strong record of collaborative, team‑science research, including evidence of interdisciplinary work through publications, shared projects, or funding.
  • Experience with large paradigm‑shifting center grants, or
  • Documented research excellence, reflected in peer‑reviewed publications and contributions to the field.
  • A successful history of securing external research funding from federal agencies, foundations, or industry partners.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
