Job Summary: The School of Medicine is seeking a Pediatrics Specialty Liaison for the Longmont/Boulder LIC site. The role includes oversight of inpatient immersion experiences, faculty/practitioner development, curriculum design, student assessment, and program administration.
Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate inpatient immersion experiences for all LIC students enrolled at the Longmont/Boulder site.
- Develop protocols and systems to facilitate longitudinal patient care and support students in follow‑up of inpatient admissions and specialty care.
- Recruit, oversee, and provide ongoing education to preceptors who work longitudinally with students.
- Educate faculty and staff on student roles in patient care and best practices for teaching LIC students.
- Provide continuous faculty development related to longitudinal precepting, mentoring, and assessment skills.
- Collaborate with Clinical Core Directors to ensure LIC students achieve competency across required domains.
- Develop specialty‑specific didactic content in collaboration with CCDs and Basic Science Content Directors.
- Facilitate or teach specialty‑specific didactic sessions or recruit faculty to deliver them.
- Assist in student assessments (direct observation, identification of additional support needs).
- Collaborate on remediation plans with the CCD on assessment of students.
- Gather assessments, create summary reports of student progress, and participate in grading meetings.
- Assist in overall administration and management of LIC programs at the site.
- Board‑certified physician with an MD or DO degree.
- Experience in medical education, curriculum development, and program management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Integrity, civility, professionalism, and commitment to school values.
- Program management and coordination skills.
- Experience working effectively with blended teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Knowledge of pediatric specialty care.
Hybrid schedule. The role is eligible for a hybrid schedule as needed for teaching and in‑person meetings.
