Clinical Content Director (CCD) – Family Medicine is responsible for developing, integrating, and assessing a fully longitudinal curriculum across all 4 years of the medical school program. The role collaborates with clinical skills, core clinical, and assessment committees to ensure continuity, rigor, and alignment with competency-based education.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Developing Our Clinical Skills faculty to integrate clinical skills and reasoning into pre‑clerkship, clerkship, and post‑clerkship curricula.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement with basic medical science content directors and team‑based learning facilitators.
- Coordinate with family medicine specialty liaisons at each LIC site to align learning objectives, competencies, and clinical conditions across diverse training environments.
- Provide faculty and house staff training on curricular changes and ongoing support for medical student education.
- Support specialty liaisons and LIC directors in addressing students who need additional competency support.
- Collaborate with the Office of Assessment, Evaluation and Outcomes to write grading criteria and develop standard‑setting processes among LIC liaisons and sites; chair annual grading committees for Family Medicine.
- Coordinate with Advanced Science Course directors and LIC directors to strategically repeat content and avoid unplanned repetition.
- Engage in direct student teaching as a pre‑clerkship preceptor or LIC preceptor.
- Participate in and attend monthly CCD and CPCC meetings; organize and lead monthly meetings with family medicine liaisons.
- Maintain timely communication with students, faculty, and program leadership via email, text, and learning management systems.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Open‑rank faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
- Experience in medical education and curriculum development.
- Experience working effectively with blended teams.
- Demonstrated interest in medical student education.
- Integrity, civility, professionalism, and commitment to School values.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and program management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- A letter of interest describing relevant experience.
