Assistant Professor - Physician or PhD Scientist in Chronic Kidney Disease Research. Position # - Requisition #38766.

Job Summary

The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a board-certified Nephrology physician scientist at the Assistant Professor level with training and interest in deciphering novel mechanisms of disease in lupus nephritis. The candidate s primary responsibilities will be to conduct impactful research in the area of immune-complex disease and lupus nephritis. In addition, the candidate will have clinical responsibilities in the inpatient, outpatient and dialysis services.

The ideal candidate will have a record of scholarly productivity and mentorship. The candidate will be recommended for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct mechanistic studies in immune-complex disease and lupus nephritis
  • Publish original research findings
  • Apply for continual grant funding
  • 25-30% clinical effort on the inpatient, outpatient and dialysis services

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DO, or international equivalent terminal degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A record of scholarly achievement.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with learners, faculty, healthcare teams, administrators, and community organizations.
  • Expertise in clinical research.
