Visit Aurora creates, plans, and implements sales, marketing, and PR programs that attract conventions, trade shows, media, and leisure travelers to Aurora, Colorado—driving real economic impact for the community.

What you’ll do Sales & Business Development
  • Build and execute sales strategies for memberships, visitor guide placements, and event sponsor ships.
  • Prospect, pitch, and close new memberships with Aurora-area businesses, hospitality partners, and regional organizations.
  • Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline; collaborate with Marketing to package compelling, value-driven offers.
Membership Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary contact for new and existing members—deliver seamless onboarding and ongoing engagement.
  • Partner with the Director of Events & Engagement to fulfill deliverables and clearly communicate ROI.
  • Show up in-market—attend local meetings, events, and networking to deepen relationships and drive collaboration.
Sponsorship & Advertising
  • Develop customized sponsorship proposals for Visit Aurora events, programs, and publications.
  • Oversee advertising inventory for the visitor guide and other platforms; ensure accurate, on-time execution.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Marketing on contracts, billing, and deliverables.
Performance & Reporting
  • Track activity, revenue, conversion rates, and engagement in CRM.
  • Deliver regular reports on pipeline health, sales performance, and member satisfaction.
Community Engagement
  • Represent Visit Aurora at networking events, business functions, and civic meetings.
  • Advocate for the value of tourism within the business community.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years in membership sales, account management, or business development (DMO/chamber/hospitality strongly preferred).
  • Consistent record of hitting/exceeding sales goals through consultative, relationship-based selling.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and multitasking; manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • CRM familiarity (iDSS and Cvent a plus); comfortable with reporting.
  • Collaborative mindset and passion for local business, community impact, and destination growth.
  • Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
What success looks like (first 12 months)
  • Hit revenue targets across memberships, sponsor ships, and visitor guide placements.
  • Grow net new members and improve retention; raise member satisfaction.
  • Maintain >90% on-time, accurate execution of advertising and sponsorship deliverables.
  • Build a reliable pipeline with clear stages, close rates, and forecasting cadence.
  • $65,000-$75,000 annual salary plus incentive
