Geophysical Field Technician

Aurora Geosciences Ltd (Aurora) is currently looking to hire geophysical field technicians for upcoming exploration programs in the Yukon.

Geophysical field technicians should expect the role to be physically demanding and have the ability to work in extreme weather and remote conditions.

Field Technicians will be responsible for the following:

• To understand and perform the proper techniques for gathering data ensuring that it is done safely, timely and accurately.
• Operate, repair, and maintain processing equipment; ensuring all technical equipment is in good working order prior to use.
• Perform any other duties, projects or activities as required and directed by onsite supervisor.
• Complying with all Health Safety Security and Environmental rules and company policies of Aurora.

The successful candidate will have the following capabilities:

• Be committed to safe work practices
• Be comfortable working in the field in isolated locations and in all weather conditions
• Be in good physical condition, capable of carrying up to 25kg of weight and able to work long hours
• Comfortable on ATVs or snowmobiles
• Remote winter field experience preferred
• The ability to learn new skills easily and quickly

Preferences will be given to those residing in the Yukon. Ideally, candidates will have previous exploration field experience and past core exploration experience however, training will be provided.
