Maintenance Planner

We are seeking an experienced maintenance planner to play a key role in supporting the Maintenance Department. The planner will manage parts inventory, coordinate work orders, maintain accurate equipment records, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance planner also supports cultural change by reinforcing maintenance best practices, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and helping drive reliability and lean process improvements.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, consumables, and critical components
- Organize, label, and track inventory to ensure quick and efficient retrieval
- Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile variances, and maintain minimum/maximum stock levels
- Coordinate parts purchasing with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials
- Create, assign, and close work orders in the CMMS (e.g., FIIX, Asset Essentials, MP2, eMaint)
- Ensure all work orders contain required details: labor hours, parts used, equipment downtime, corrective actions, and follow-up work
- Liaise with external vendors for purchasing, repairs, calibration, and specialty services
- Assist with scheduling contractors, ensuring contractor safety, and verifying completion of work
- Track vendor performance, pricing, service intervals, and delivery times
- Assist the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors in planning and tracking maintenance-related projects, shutdown activities, and equipment installations.
- Provide administrative support for lean and reliability initiatives, including 5S, SMED, and standardized work
- Previous experience in maintenance administration, inventory control, or manufacturing support roles
- Hands‑on experience with a CMMS (FIIX, Asset Essentials, SAP PM, AMMS, MP2, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of reliability concepts, preventive and predictive maintenance
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with parts catalogs, equipment manuals, and maintenance BOMs
- Knowledge of purchasing processes and vendor management
Compensation Expectation: $90,/annually
