As a Property Claims professional, you will manage low to moderate severity claims from start to finish, delivering fair outcomes while providing an excellent customer experience.
What you will do:
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle property claims
- Interpret policy wordings, legislation, and confirm coverage
- Conduct investigations including statements, vendor coordination, and contractor consultations
- Assess liability, salvage, and subrogation opportunities
- Manage communication with all parties throughout the claims lifecycle
- Review losses to ensure proper assignment and file quality
- Respond to client complaints and appeals professionally and effectively
- Set appropriate reserves based on exposure and authority
- Review independent adjuster files when required
- Prepare reports and support special projects as needed
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field
- 2 to 5 years of property claims handling experience, plus customer service experience
- CIP designation completed or in progress
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Career-minded with a clear interest in long-term growth
Salary range is $60,000 to $75,000.
