Position – Full‑time supply French Teacher (November 2024 – January 2025). Part‑time supply work after January 2025 will be available.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Education and OCT registration or equivalent and/or Montessori (MACTE or AMI) Diploma
• Qualifications and demonstrated passion and ability to teach French to students in Grades One through Eight
• Strong oral and written French language skills
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C

Job Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within the French Department to plan and deliver an enriched French curriculum following the Ministry of Education and AMS curriculum for students in Grades 1‑8
• Facilitate learning experiences that support the individualized learning needs of all students
• Develop a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment that is grounded in AMS’ core values of respect, inclusivity, inquisitiveness, and kindness
• Monitor, provide feedback and assess student learning using a range of tools and strategies
• Communicate effectively and regularly with colleagues, students, and their families
