If yes, join us as a Senior Software Engineer working on Root of Trust (RoT) firmware for OCI servers.
** About the Team*
* OCI's bare metal cloud offering gives customers access to the bare-metal hardware and lower-level components and software stacks for maximum control and performance-but introduces heightened security needs. Our team secures this environment by designing, implementing, and validating the firmware that underpins our chain of trust. We ensure hosts can be securely wiped/attested and provisioned across the infrastructure.
We also build companion software to enable secure provisioning and access to key subsystems.

* As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on secure firmware and system management technologies for enterprise-grade security products deployed in Oracle Cloud. Collaborate closely with team members and partner teams to develop, improve, and validate our firmware solutions.
You'll contribute to design and development at all software stages-from concept to release-and gain exposure to low-level hardware interfaces, firmware, user-facing tooling, and large-scale distributed systems.
You will:
+ Develop and enhance secure system management firmware and software, leveraging industry standards and custom extensions for Oracle's needs.
+ Help ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
+ Participate in all phases of product development: rapid prototyping, bring-up, debugging, implementation and testing.
Our product environment covers embedded device development (C/C++), systems management tools (Python, bash), and service software (Java/Python).
** Responsibilities*
* Responsibilities
+ Design, implement, and test new firmware products and features.
+ Analyze and improve existing code with a focus on scalability and security.
+ Collaborate with developers, hardware engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver robust, secure designs and implementations.
+ Work with internal users and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant industry experience.
+
** Please note this position has a location requirement: candidates must be based in Santa Clara, CA, or willing to relocate.*

+ Experience in firmware development, debug, validation, and deployment.
+ Knowledge of embedded systems development.
+
Experience with networking and/or security protocols.
+ Scripting experience (Python and/or bash); familiarity with an embedded Linux environment.
+ Familiarity with Agile software development workflows.

+ Familiarity with lab debug tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
+ Familiarity with HW schematics, HW manufacturing (PCB fab, assembly, mechanical, etc.)
+ Experience learning and navigating new codebases.
+ General understanding of secure coding and security best practices.
+ Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
+ Exposure to Java, REST APIs, or authentication/authorization protocols.
+ Experience in Dev Ops principles and CICD pipelines
