Performance Food service, PFG's broadline distributor, serves a variety of customers including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Food service team delivers food and supports independent restaurant owners in achieving their goals.

• Transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas and store in appropriate slots on multi-level racks in the assigned warehouse area.
• Replenish and restock pick slots in a timely manner, ensuring safety, GMP and quality standards are met and the production flow is efficient.
• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines; keep the work area safe and report unsafe conditions or acts immediately.
• Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations; wear all required PPE and safety gear.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines; work from receiving sheets, computer printouts, established procedures and written/verbal instructions.
• Locate and count check incoming freight in the staging area and transport to the freezer with forklift or pallet jack; inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks and take appropriate action as needed.
• Locate proper slots on storage racks, place pallets with forklift or hand stack, enter product data and location into RF unit; replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next days work orders.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and remove dated inventory according to policy. Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area; inspect pallets for damage and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to storage area.
• Perform general housekeeping in the work area; remove batteries for recharging, replace with charged batteries, and complete vehicle inspection checklist; at the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Sunday-Thursday, starting t be able to work overtime, including additional days as needed.

• 2+ years heavy equipment operator experience.

• 1-2 years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Food service distribution or related industry experience.
• Experience operating a high-reach forklift.
