Overview
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our children s ABA autism center. We work with children ages 2-5 diagnosed with autism. The ideal candidate will provide specialized speech therapy services at our ABA centers in Augusta and Bangor, with travel between the centers. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in pediatric patients, with a focus on early intervention. The Speech-Language Pathologist will develop tailored treatment plans that support each child s unique needs.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results
- Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, and social communication
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust therapy strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support speech development at home and in educational settings
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulations
- Stay current with advancements in pediatrics, early intervention techniques, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology
- Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior experience working with children in pediatric or early intervention settings is highly preferred
- Experience conducting patient assessments and developing effective treatment plans for children with speech or language disorders
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
