Job Overview
Kennebec River Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Duties and Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Take and develop dental imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Review and update dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques
- Document patient interactions accurately within Dentrix
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards
- Proficiency with dental software including Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups
- Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols
- Ability to accurately review documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
- Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
