Essential Functions:
- Takes vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, O2 Sat and blood pressure); obtains height and weight.
- Assists with activities in patient mobility and positioning.
- Reports patient status changes to nurse/physician/nurse practitioner/physician assistant.
- Collects patient information.
- Collects specimens, performs CLIA waived tests, reporting results to provider.
- Initiates CPR.
- Communicates with patient and/or family.
- Transports patients by pushing, pulling, lifting in a wheelchair or cart.
- Repositions patients with or without mechanical devices by lifting, pulling and pushing.
- Organizes and prioritizes work to complete daily assignment.
- Participates in quality assurance, assessment and improvement activities.
- Provides patient education.
- Cleans/sanitizes patient rooms and equipment after use.
- Assists with procedures.
- Performs capillary punctures on patients.
- Documents all information concisely and accurately.
- Changes dressings.
- Administers treatments.
- Administers medications according to clinic policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Essential Functions:
- Prepares various reports, clerical and department duties as needed and requested.
- Performs radiologic exams.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, spell and write clearly. Accurate typing, filing and calculating skills. Skills in performing Excel and Word functions. Communication and computer skills.
- Will be oriented to and maintain competence in working with patients in the following age categories:
Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients. - Has a basic understanding of medical terms.
Physical Demands:
May require occasional or constant sitting. Requires occasional standing and walking. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 35 lbs. May require pushing and pulling up to 35 lbs. Requires correct hearing and vision to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Some exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials is likely. Requires occasional bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping and kneeling. Occasional reaching and overhead work are required.
Requires occasional grasping. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Ability to use office equipment such as computer terminal (PC), typewriter, telephone, copier, and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Primary Monday through Friday on a scheduled shift. Weekend work and overtime may be required.
