Description
Seeking an experienced Software Engineer who will support mission-critical systems for a Federal customer at Augusta, GA.
This entry-level role focuses on developing and maintaining Java-based applications in a secure environment.
The engineer will work closely with senior developers and system engineers to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.
- Work with a high-performing software development team in an agile, Dev Ops environment
- Analyze capabilities of existing products to develop enhancements primarily using Java
- Perform development and integration of multiple user interfaces and/or numerous services for software that performs data processing at scale
- Conduct development, testing, validation, deployment, maintenance, and Tier 3 support for operational software
- Design and implement software solutions that can be integrated with core services and across new baselines
- Apply accepted agile software development practices to test and document the code base
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing, fast-paced, CI/CD environment
- Experience developing back-end services in Java
- Experience writing web user interfaces using modern Java, Java script, and/or HTML
- Experience with Active MQ, Rest, No
SQL and/or elastic databases - Experience validating capabilities against requirements, writing and executing test cases, and capturing test results
- Experience working with the Atlassian tool suite to track and maintain requirements (i.e., JIRA & Confluence)
- Experience developing in Linux
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience in software development in Java.
Preference:
Java certification or relevant coursework preferred.
