Position Status:
Part Time FTE 0.6 and Casual available

You will join our Supported Residential Care team, providing safe and stable accommodation for children and young people who cannot live y have experienced trauma or difficult circumstances. Your role is to help them feel secure, build confidence, and develop life skills for a brighter future.

You will work within a trauma-informed approach, supported by training and a strong team culture. Every day you will make a difference by creating positive routines, encouraging healthy choices, and being a trusted adult in their lives.

To ensure this role is the right fit for you and the young people we support, we include a Psychological Suitability Assessment later in the process. We will explain everything and support you through it after the interview stage.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will:

  • Have the ability to work with children and young people with high and complex needs.
  • Be prepared to work shift work, including over nights and weekends.

You will have or, be willing to work towards:

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • DHS Working with Children Check (SA) and a National Criminal History Check.
  • Safe Environments for Children & Young People (Through Their Eyes)
  • Certificate IV (or above) in Youth Work or Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar.
  • If you don’t have the Cert IV yet: you can apply if you are enrolled
    , or you’re willing to commence within 6months
    . We offer paid training as part of the role.
