Job Summary

Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. Uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Requires at least two years of journeyman‑level electrical experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically requires an Electrician's license from the state and reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and moderately complex maintenance and repairs on all building internal electrical systems, equipment, and controls, including 120V internal building power distribution systems, fluorescent, LED, and specialty lighting systems, service panels, feeders, branch circuits and specialized electrical systems such as lighting controls, generators, emergency and standby power systems, fire alarms, motor controls, air conditioning, heating equipment, fans, and pumps.
  • Troubleshoot, assess, and diagnose system problems and execute repairs as needed.
  • Perform routine and moderately complex maintenance and repairs on all external building electrical power supply systems and controls, including building electrical service feeders, associated electrical service panels, breakers, disconnects, and switches.
  • May be required to serve in an on‑call status and remain work‑ready when scheduled for an on‑call period or rotation.
  • Perform all other duties/tasks as required and provide a customer‑friendly environment for patients, students, faculty, and employees.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED from a recognized state or federal accredited organization with four years of experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least two years of journeyman‑level electrical experience.
  • Electrician's license from the state (typically required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail‑oriented and able to work independently within established procedures.

Experience in installation, repair, and operation of a wide array of common electrical and lighting system components.

Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift: Monday – Friday

Pay Band: 9

Salary Minimum: $23.46/hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum to midpoint) of the position.

Recruitment Period: 2/25/26 – Until Filled
