This position will haul equipment and/or materials to other UGA properties around the State and assist in skilled trades work on campus buildings and facilities. Duties include masonry, carpentry, HVAC, electrical repairs, and heavy equipment operation.

• Transport equipment and materials locally and statewide.
• Secure equipment on trailers using tie-downs.
• Operate semi-trucks or other vehicles.
• Mix and pour concrete pads and perform masonry work.
• Build shelves, tables, and other carpentry projects.
• Repair water lines, roofs, plumbing leaks, HVAC units.
• Operate small and large equipment including backhoes and lifts.
• Assist other tradesmen with trade jobs and special event setups.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Georgia Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Knowledge and skill in hauling and securing equipment.
• Experience operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, skytrackers, forklifts.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Effective time management and strong communication skills.

• Crawling into confined spaces.
• Climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding.
• Standing for long periods.
• Lifting variable weight amounts depending on task.
• Driving to perform duties.
