Job Summary: The Immunology Center of Georgia at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a Senior Research Scientist faculty position focused on the immunology of human cardiovascular disease. The role involves recruiting and consenting participants, managing clinical samples, reviewing electronic medical records, supporting clinical research, publishing, presenting, and developing grant applications. This position is not tenure track.

• Research (75%):
  Design, conduct, and support basic, translational, and clinical research studies per approved protocols.
• Perform experiments and data collection using established and emerging methodologies.
• Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical and analytical tools.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely research records.
• Troubleshoot experimental procedures and contribute to method development and optimization.
• Grant, funding support, and publications (25%):
  Assist with grant proposal preparation, progress reports, renewals.
• Track research milestones and deliverables associated with funded projects.
• Contribute to budget justifications and resource planning related to research activities.
• Publish in peer-reviewed scientific papers and present at meetings.

• PhD or equivalent from an accredited institution with at least five years of research experience.

This position is fiscal year based and works year‑round. It is full‑time (1.0 FTE). Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements, and is subject to availability of funds.
