Minimum Qualifications

The technician will assist with laboratory and field tasks related to the biogeochemistry of metals in ecosystems. Responsibilities include field sampling, laboratory processing for chemical analysis, aiding graduate students, and routine operational duties.

  • 20% routine lab duties: purchasing chemicals and supplies, maintaining equipment, instruments, sample tools, and updating safety documents.
  • 60% assistance to graduate students and postdocs with ongoing research.
  • 20% research support: field sampling, sample processing, chemical analysis, and data management.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, and keyboarding.
  • Requires gross/fine manipulation, stooping, crouching, kneeling, speaking, and hearing.
