Position Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager’s primary responsibility is to assist the Property Manager in all areas of operation including office administration, financial, safety, employee management, marketing, leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
Responsibilities- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the community to provide a thorough and exceptional experience for current and prospective residents.
- Utilize feature and benefit selling to determine needs and preferences for current and prospective residents resulting in secured lease agreements.
- Oversee and enhance financial growth of the property.
- Ensure that financial reporting and record keeping is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist Property Manager with hiring, developing, and motivating team.
- Demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer focused approach with team members, residents, clients, and the public.
- Prepare and initiate effective marketing, outreach, and resident retention programs.
- Complete lease applications and verifications and maintain accurate lease documentation.
- Be knowledgeable and compliant with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in MRD Apartments University training.
- 1 year of on-site property management or training preferred.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Proven organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Fundamental computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office, Yardi Voyager, and Rent Café preferred.
