About the Position
Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU RN – Georgia

Schedule:
12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; 1:2 patient ratio in a 10-bed unit with average daily census of 7
Highlights:
Specialized cardiovascular intensive care unit focusing on complex cardiac patients including LVADs, balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, and CRRT
Collaborative environment with intensivist coverage Monday-Friday and daily multidisciplinary rounds at 10am
Epic charting system with support from IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, PT, radiology, and rapid response teams
Manageable patient load with 1:2 ratio and dedicated charge nurse; titration of cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and sedation as needed
Opportunity to care for post-AAA repair, post-cardiac surgery, TAVR, and CABG patients requiring critical monitoring and hemodynamic management
First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of ICU experience
Requirements:
Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience; CVICU, MICU, or SICU experience strongly preferred
Experience with arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, Swan-Ganz monitoring, IABP, and management of patients with ventricular assist devices
Epic charting experience preferred
Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
Full compliance documentation required by the Tuesday prior to start date
