American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency and a current GA or compact RN license.

• Hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry unit with 16 beds and an average daily census of 16
• Adult to geriatric patient population with conditions including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, peripheral vascular disease, and peritoneal dialysis
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Procedures and monitoring include telemetry, EKG, and Doppler
• EMR:
  Epic (required); also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication framework
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements
• 12-week contract

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac telemetry RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of assignment
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 2 with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as
  1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as
  1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as
  1)
• No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule modifications are permitted
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time to avoid a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
