At Doctors Hospital’s Joseph M. Still Burn Center, our mission is to save lives. Here, we’ve created a compassionate, nurturing environment for both functional and cosmetic burn and wound care. We treat more than 3,000 burns and wounds annually, with over three decades of experience.

Job Summary & Qualifications
As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that’s deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing – caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.
Responsibilities- Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
- Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
- Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
- Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient‑centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree
