Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a GA or compact license and the ability to work every other weekend.
Responsibilities

• Hospital Medical Surgical unit setting

• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30

• Requires working every other weekend

• Floating may be required within the facility and within scope of practice

• No on-call responsibilities

• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year to be eligible to return as a traveler

• Return travelers who are restricted from one facility must successfully complete an assignment outside of Piedmont prior to rebooking at another location

• Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift in the same unit

• Blocked scheduling is not permitted

• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed; no time off during the first week of assignment

• Full compliance with facility requirements is necessary to start on time, with delayed orientation if not met

• Holiday coverage is required:
Travelers are expected to work specific major holidays based on their assignment period

• Locals are accepted at the same rate
Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience

• Two supervisory references from a manager or above are required for consideration

• Unit accepts first-time travelers
