Position Summary
Cybersecurity Architect will design, implement, and govern secure IT systems, cloud infrastructures, and networks, ensuring compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF). They play a critical role in securing systems security,
Job Responsibilities- Designing and implementing Zero Trust principles (identity, device, network, application, data) to align with customer strategies.
- Lead cybersecurity architecture operating in a regulated environment across the full cybersecurity lifecycle, including, but not limited to, security planning, architecture and design, implementation, authorization, continuous monitoring, incident response, and sustainment.
- Design, implement, and govern cybersecurity controls aligned with customer principles.
- Architect and secure cloud environments including, but not limited to, identity management, network security, encryption, logging, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Design and mature Zero Trust Architecture across identity, device, network, application, data, and visibility layers.
- Lead continuous monitoring activities, scanning, compliance, configuration validation, vulnerability identification, and remediation tracking.
- Architect, integrate, improve capabilities, including, but not limited to, centralized log aggregation, real‑time threat detection, automated response workflows, and coordination with security operations teams.
- Perform security risk assessments and translate technical findings into risk‑based recommendations for system owners and leadership.
- Manage action plans, milestones and track remediation progress through successful closure.
- Prepare, review, and maintain cybersecurity and authorization artifacts.
- Partner with engineering, cloud, and operations teams to embed security by design, improve system resilience, and reduce operational risk.
- Support cybersecurity audits, inspections, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA), ensuring audit‑ready documentation, traceability, and evidence integrity.
- Master's degree in Computer Science preferred
- CISSP, CISM, CCIE (R/S)
- Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) Certification
- TOGAF Certification
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in Open Systems Implementation (OSI) Layers 1 to 7 (Full Stack)
- Superb understanding of ITIL 4.0 + Managing Professional
- Familiarity with security tools and software is essential.
- Proficiency in security protocols, network architecture, and programming language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and collaborate with team members and management.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
