Job Description:

Data science is a multi-disciplinary field that uses elements of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application-specific knowledge to gather, analyze, and communicate principled conclusions from data. Data Scientists tackle challenging real-world problems leveraging big data, high-performance computing, machine learning, and other methodologies. We seek critical thinkers, problem solvers, and motivated individuals enthusiastic about data who believe that answers to hard questions lie in the story of diverse, complex data sets.

You will develop solutions to complex data problems.

The Level 2 Data Scientist shall possess the following capabilities:

Ability to use analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and other scientific methods.

Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for exploring and assessing large datasets, considering the unique features and limitations of National Agency data holdings.

Ability to communicate principal conclusions from data using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application-specific knowledge.

Translate mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements and assist others in drawing conclusions from data analysis.

Make informed recommendations on technical solutions, aware of the shifting capabilities and limitations of the National Agency's data systems.

Knowledge of agency-specific tools and methodologies.

Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

Experience in Data Science capabilities, including machine learning, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, statistical analysis, data management, data mining, data modeling, AI, and software engineering.
Option 1:
Associate degree in relevant field + 5 years of experience
Option 2:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field + 3 years of experience
Option 3:
Master’s Degree in relevant field + 2 years of experience

Must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

Additional Details:

Expected salary: $99,500 – $114,500 per year
