The Range Developer provides cyber range engineering, configuration, and sustainment support for the Advanced Cyber Operations - Procedures (ACO-P) course. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and realism of virtual cyber training environments.
Primary Responsibilities- Configure and maintain virtual cyber range environments
- Administer training network hosts, servers, and services
- Develop infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies
- Prepare training environments prior to each class and training day
- Troubleshoot network, host, and application issues
- Conduct weekly backups and maintenance
- Implement new tools and technologies to support curriculum updates
- Support development of additional training networks within PCTE
- Collaborate with instructors to meet training objectives
- U.S. Citizen
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Minimum 2 years experience with infrastructure as code or VMware
- Minimum 1 year scripting experience (Python, Bash, Power Shell)
- Minimum 1 year networking and virtualization experience
- Terraform, Ansible, STEP
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Linux and Windows operating systems
- Cybersecurity and red team tools
- Agile development practices
