HR ADMINISTRATOR – Animal Feed Phosphate Technologies by Prayon (Augusta, GA)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized HR Administrator to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. This role focuses on managing employee benefits, payroll processing, and addressing employee relations issues to ensure a smooth and efficient workplace environment. Additionally, this position assists in interviewing and selecting hourly personnel, contributing to a positive and efficient hiring process.
Responsibilities Benefits Administration- Assist with administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and troubleshooting issues.
- Educate employees on available benefits and provide guidance during open enrollment periods.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies or payroll‑related inquiries.
- Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports.
- Ensure proper deductions for taxes, benefits, and other with holdings.
- Act as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and issues.
- Assist in addressing employee conflicts and escalating issues to the HR Business Partner as necessary.
- Ensure company policies are communicated effectively and consistently enforced.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive employee information.
- Assist with the recruitment process by scheduling and conducting interviews for hourly personnel.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and identify qualified candidates.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by communicating expectations and providing timely updates.
- Support onboarding efforts for newly hired hourly employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation and conducting exit interviews.
- Support compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance employee engagement.
The employee will comply with all relevant food safety and quality standards/requirements.
Job Requirements Minimum- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Experience:
1+ years as an Administrative Assistant or relevant position in an HR or Accounting group. Familiarity with employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ACA, FLSA). - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Education:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline. - Formal training in employee benefits, hiring, and HR records administration.
- Language:
Reading, comprehension, speaking and writing at the required education equivalency level. - Computer:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other Office 365 applications; proficiency in relevant HRIS preferred. - Mathematical:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
